I am sad, frustrated, and anxious. Let me start by saying I want no negative comments on this post. One of my favorite clients has a dog that has anxiety when he's not with his people. I have watched him for several years with no incidences. The last time he came it had been about a year since he had been here and he had a lot of anxiety. I told his client that he would need to come for daycare at least a few times before he came back to board again. Unfortunately, he didn't bring him back for daycare. I was concerned about having him come without him having been here in several months to reacquaint him and help with his anxiety. He tried to drop him off this morning for his boarding for the week and he was so anxious that I had to call his owner and have him come pick him up. I am saying this to tell people if you bring your dog to me and I give you recommendations, you have to follow them because I will not risk myself, my dogs, your dog, or any other client dogs that may be here. Going forward all dogs that come to me will require at least two days of daycare per month before your dog will be allowed to board here. Safety issues are my main concern. I refuse to let myself or any dog be injured. I know that he was not happy that he had to come back and pick up his dog and for that I am truly sorry. But I will not risk any dog or my business for anyone. I love every dog that comes through my door just like they were my own. I treat them all the same with love and respect and that's how I will continue to run my business. Thank you for listening and even more for understanding. Picture of my Rocco for attention.
