My husbands quail dont play with their eggs. I still have 65 quail will be 4 weeks old this week. I may just end up jumping on the quail band wagon due to lack of interest in chickens from the public.

It’s been a few years since I last vent-sexed chicks, but I’m giving it another go! This batch includes 𝙊𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙀𝙜𝙜𝙚𝙧𝙨 💚, 𝙀𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙀𝙜𝙜𝙚𝙧𝙨💙, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙞𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨🖤.

They’ll be relocated at 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩-𝙧𝙪𝙣 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨, but with one little twist:

👉 For every 3 yellow-banded chicks (what I believe are pullets), you’ll need to take 1 black-banded chick (what I suspect is a cockerel).
✨ 𝐴 𝑠𝑚𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑓𝑎𝑣𝑜𝑟 𝑖𝑛 𝑟𝑒𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑛 — please keep me updated later on about who turned out to be who! It helps me improve my accuracy and helps future buyers too.

You can change the leg band colors later if you like, but just remember — black bands = my “𝑝𝑜𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑏𝑜𝑦𝑠” pile.

Didnt know this until now. They're still considered a barnyard mix. But im listing Claire (hen) as what she is "Sapphire Gem x Cemani and her rooster Ayam Cemani (true Ayam cemani)" so much to write out. They're called "Silver Reapers" of course they've been around for 6+ years. Anyways, this is the best "Silver Reaper" hatched to date. Silver/black feathers, black skin, black legs but have grey and white toe nails.

Each week that goes by their fees go up, I have plenty Corturnix Quail left. These guys are officially started and doing great!
Hatch date: 10/8
Matures and starts laying at 6 weeks
Butcher at 6 weeks
I also have hatching or eating eggs $4/dz theres 100 eggs. If a week goes by, whatever is left will go into the bator.
Quail are fed gamebird with crushed seed mixture, greens, meal worms. Would like to use this egg and chick sales towards buying seeds for fruit, veggies, and flowers for them. To make a healthier, less grain fed based food. 3 Quail eggs will give you the same amount as 1 chicken egg, with more protein with 1 egg (1 gram) vs .6 grams chicken eggs. 14 calories per Quail egg, more iron, B12, and phosphorus per gram. I use them in my protein shakes for the calories.
