This with tip for tack can come in handy whether you are out on the range or at the barn. Some people will call this fix a blood knot. Regardless, we hope you find this tip helpful when it comes to fixing your tack.

Nice or Good - Thursday's Thought 🤔🐴

When asked what's the difference between a nice man and a good man. It's true that there is a difference between nice and good when it comes defining a persons character. We can be nice, say "yes, yeah, sure." But it takes discernment, judgment and ideals to be good. Sometimes being a good person doesn't always have an appealing look. You don't just go with the flow, you stand up for your faith, beliefs and principles. There is a difference.

For all of us horse addicts here's an example. You are a nice horse owner or a good horse owner. Let's say you like to give your horse treats, they can take them respectfully and wait until it's given to them or they can be pushy and maybe even mouthy. The horse that waits is of a good owner while the horse that pushes you around is from a nice owner. Boundaries and principles are good.

From the Hunter Jumper Pen to the Cow Horse Pen

Galileo is one of the warm blood horses that has spent time at Hogan Equine thanks to

Byron is grateful for his friendship with Eighteen Acres. It's refreshing to see Mindy and Byron work together on horses as they can appreciate the training of different equine disciplines.

In the Hunter Jumper pen horses have to run, read a jump, rate off and stay connected and balanced while doing so. When these same warmbloods come to the cow horse pen they have to run, rate and stay balanced without dropping their shoulders in order to have good working ground on a cow.

Hogan Equine loves to have the diversity of horses in the barn and utilize cow work for more than just the cow horse. Thank you to Eighteen Acres for the support... and I know our cow horse crew is dying to see Byron attend another Hunter Jumper show. What do you think?
