Trap-n-Tell is going open source! You may or may not know what this is about and how it will affect Trap-n-Tell. Basically, we are not patenting anything, we are going to publish all of our secrets of how we make the traps, all the way to publishing our code and architecture. The benefit of this is others can build our traps for there own personal use, and if others want to get involved in the project of making it better they can do that and share what they did. We will of course still be selling our traps, but we will also be selling the parts so people can make there own, and change it to whatever fits there needs, and we will still be working on our network of other pest control professionals that will come empty the traps for users of the Trap-n-Tell for a low cost since all they will be doing is emptying the traps!

Trap-n-Tell is all coming together! Got LOTS of circuit boards coming in and I'm putting the first big batch of traps together, no longer will people just have to deal with worrying about snakes, rats, mice or any other creature when I finish this project, the smart snake, rat, mouse trap is just the start, I plan on making much larger and smaller traps in the future, as I learn more about sensors and such I am seeing such a huge need for the saying, "make a better mouse trap" thank you for believing in me Erin Luper! This has been quite an endeavor!

The last big part that I am working on is keeping the circuits asleep except for when an animal triggers it, then it connects to the wifi and sends an image of what you caught, and periodic updates on the weather. Doing this will allow a battery bank to possibly last months between charges. And I am almost done with that code.

I decided to integrate weather stations in every trap, the trap will be able to tell you if a major storm could be about to happen at your exact location, Wich could lead into moving that data into a national database with a little AI for possible tornado movement prediction by tracking the barometric pressure along with humidity and temperature changes.
