NEED ALL OPINIONS!!!
I am incredibly excited to give you all some major updates that have been in the works over quite some time now but, first, I have some updates that require some input from others…
I was recently asked about starting a veterans service dog program through a 501c program. In doing so I had evaluated and pulled an amazing dog, Sigg (formally knows and Tex), and have been putting in a lot of time money and effort towards his training to potentially reach the goal of being a service dog for a veteran in need. Unfortunately, only 4 week in the 501c just folded and discontinued all services leaving me with a heavily discounted but unpaid bill and a dog that no longer has a path.
So now what!? Well, we all know that even though I am not well off I certainly do not do what I do for the money. The question lies… do I try to adopt this already amazing dog out as is with his current basic obedience training to anyone willing or do I attempt to start my own 501c and carry on the original idea of raising money towards helping veterans obtain service dogs!? I am eager to get some insight from all of my amazing clients and followers!!!!! 🙏🙌🏻🥰

Only a 14 hour work day that included brining this handsome boy home at the end of my day, and who within 45 seconds of being put in his crate had to be removed so I could clean up on isle 3…. Seriously though, are you staying hydrated by absorbing water through your paw pads!?! 🫣💧👅🐾😂

I used to feel so judged bringing dogs in training into places like Lowe’s or Home Depot. While I feel strongly that many dogs are exposed to high-distraction environments before they’re ready and truly prepped, days like this are proof that with the right training it can go so smoothly! This is exactly why we do this work.

These dogs walked in with a few nerves—but also the confidence and skills to work through it—and absolutely crushed their heeling and down-stays. Watching that growth, focus, and teamwork in real-world settings is what great training is all about.

This is literally how I have kept my business going for over 4 years now without ever advertising, just all word of mouth. Positive association and desensitization training goes a long way but there are other means to help ease the stress for most dogs!
Training
White noise
Secured safe space (crate, bathroom, closet)
Calming supplements or medications
Thunder shirts
And yes, doggie sound canceling ear muffs!!!!
