Noahs Paws Animal Rescue

Noahs Paws Animal Rescue We are a 501(c)3 non-profit, foster based rescue serving the entire DFW area and a 2 hour radius.

Reality:
Multiple messages coming in begging or demanding us to take animals with no offer to help with their support.

Reality: one person donated $10 for our $2 dollar Tuesday fundraising efforts.

Reality: a massive Vet debt & food costs for 150+ animals in our care because people do not spay and neuter, they dump their pets and we do not have enough fosters or adopters.

Sad conclusion: we will continue to be closed for intake as are many other Rescues. Without the greater population helping, we cannot do this on our own.

How you can help!
🐾Donate
šŸ’œFoster
🐾Adopt
šŸ’œSpay & Neuter your pets or any stray animals you come across. There are affordable options and we can help with recommendations.
🐾Share posts and tag friends in our posts.
šŸ’œInstead of expecting a Rescue to help fix the situation, step up and help yourself.
🐾Do not dump your pets. If you adopt, it’s a lifetime commitment.
šŸ’œDon’t buy a breeded animal!
🐾If you are a colony caretaker, fix the animals!! If you are just feeding, you are really not helping. We have options for affordable spay and neuter and even traps to help.
šŸ’œEducate your friends and family on all of these points.
šŸ’—Be responsible and step up!!! Each person needs to help in this crisis and Rescue are beyond maxed out!! You are capable of making a difference!

It’s 2šŸ’µ Tuesdays!!! It’s amazing what $2 does if everyone chips in. We have so many serious vet bills that we need help with. If we want to reopen intake which is so needed in DFW, we must pay this down. Our linktree is in our bio with numerous ways to donate. šŸ’—

Happy 4th of July from a few of the babies waiting for their furever homes.

Don’t forget to keep your pets safe! More pets go missing this day than any other day of the year.

Instead of making noise with fireworks, consider buying a bag of food for a Rescue. So many are at break point these days with people dumping, abandoning and not fixing their animals. We need more help from this wonderful community to change the animal world. ā¤ļøšŸ¤šŸ’™šŸ¾

ANOTHER URGENT CASE!!
We are closed for intake because we don’t have enough Donations Fosters or Adopters. People need to honestly step up to help, otherwise these animals are all going to end up on the streets and in most cases, they end up dying horrific deaths.

This cat was found by a woman who can’t keep it, but is willing to drive it somewhere in Texas. He has injuries to his mouth and leg, but she cannot take him to the vet.

Can anyone step up to help and adopt this extremely friendly cat so it does not get dumped in five days?
Please share and tag to get the word out. That is the only way we are going to get this cat saved. ļæ¼

URGENT! SHARE & NETWORK TI SAVE HIS LIFE🚨 there is a sweet little 4 or 5 mo old kitty pulled from a hoarding situation that has been diagnosed with calisis. The shelter that has him has treated him with 2 rounds of different antibiotics but after 2 months he is still showing signs of having it. So we are guessing he will fall into the 30% of cats that can’t be cured and will have it for life. Does anyone know of anyone wanting a solo cat or who has another cat with the same illness that could take him. The shelter can’t put him up for adoption with the diagnosis.

He is only having slight occasional respiratory like symptoms typically when he gets excited and they're not constant. This is not something he should be euthanized over!

It's only been two months. There is a chance that after about six months, he could test negative and it could pass but as of right now, he still testing positive and presenting the respiratory symptoms occasionally.

This boy is extremely friendly and he is FIVFELV negative. He's litter box trained, and super loving!!!

Also, we are waiting for updates from the shelter to find out if he is good with kids and dogs. We assume he is good with Cats seeing as he did come from a hoarding case. He is a beautiful boy who deserves a chance!!!

Please message us ASAP if you can help and we can fly him anywhere Southwest can go!

Let’s Talk About Adoption Applications — And Why You Might Not Hear Back 🌟
Or what the process is like

We know some people have been frustrated by not receiving a response to their adoption applications. We hear you, and we want to explain why that might happen and what goes into our decision-making.

First, please understand: we are not an open-intake shelter. We are a group of dedicated volunteers who rescue cats usually from local high kill shelters and sometimes kittens from local colonies. Many of these cats have been abandoned, neglected, or are in heartbreaking condition when we get them. We pour our time, money, energy, and love into helping them heal physically and emotionally. Because of this, we are deeply protective of where they go next.

Adoption is not first-come, first-served. It’s about the right match.

We know these cats, their quirks, their trauma, and their needs. The application is a tool that helps us find the best possible fit. Unfortunately, some applications show little to no thought. We’ve seen answers like ā€œI want a catā€ when asked why someone wants to adopt a specific cat. If this were a job interview, would that answer get you hired?

We have clear, non-negotiable policies in place to protect the cats. No, we don’t list them publicly. Why? Because we don’t want people tailoring their answers just to get approved. We want adopters who are genuinely aligned with what the cat needs, not just saying what they think we want to hear.

So why might you not get a response?
1. We’re a small team of volunteers who are also juggling full-time jobs, families, and the daily care and rescue of these cats.
2. When we send declines, we are often met with rude or aggressive responses. It’s emotionally exhausting and takes energy away from the animals we’re trying to save.

Please read bios carefully.
If we say the cat must be adopted with a sibling, please don’t apply for only one.
If we say the cat needs a pet-free home, don’t apply if you have other animals.

We also want you to read the bios completely to see if the kitty is a match or something you are truly looking for. Please don’t apply just because it’s cute or a gorgeous kitty.

Every application is appreciated, truly, but no one is entitled to a cat. Our goal is not to make anyone feel rejected. Our goal is to protect cats who have already been let down.

Make sure when filling out the application you answer all the questions. At the bottom left you should select to send yourself a copy. If you don’t get a copy, we didn’t get a copy. It can take up to 3 days to process an application.

And lastly, please only apply if you’re ready. So often, we go through the process and reach out, only to hear that the applicant has adopted elsewhere or we are ghosted. That’s disheartening and wastes valuable time we could have spent helping another cat.

Thank you for understanding, and thank you for supporting our work. This is tough, emotional work, and we do it because we love these animals.

If anyone is following Hayley Hulls rescue page Yelp For Help Animal Rescue page we want you all to be aware there is comments being posted by people with their story of animals she has abused or neglected. Hayley is deleting those comments and blocking the people. I really do not expect any less from her but had people contact me because their comments are being removed with their story and experience. I have told them we cannot do anything about it but bring awareness. šŸ¤žšŸ™
