Happy home update from Gracie, previously Maggie! ❤
This little lady is settling into her home well and is having a wonderful time in her forever home! Thank you so much to her adopters for giving her a chance and welcoming her into their home! We hope there are many happy days ahead for you! 🐾

Today is National Dog Photography Day! 🐶
People say a picture is worth a thousand words and we couldn't agree more, especially when we are able to catch a big smile or goofy pose! We would love to see your favorite pictures of your pups below! Or, if you have been to the shelter, we would love to see any of the pictures captured of our favorite, adoptable cuties! ❤

If you are in the Chambersburg area be sure to stop out by the PetSmart Chambersburg, PA to meet with some of our adoptable kitties! These and many other kitties will be hanging out and looking for their forever homes this afternoon. Or, if you are looking to have some cuddles and learn more about the shelter's adoption process, be sure to stop in! 🐾

We would like to give a huge thank you to Kolt for his very generous donation! ❤️
Kolt raised $240 from his lemonade stand and brought us in supplies for the animals in our care this past weekend. Thank you Kolt for doing such an awesome thing for us! 🐾

Our chunky boy Jax is still looking for his forever home and has not had any interest since coming back to our adoption floor. 😢
Jax originally came to us in July 2023 emaciated and in desperate need of love. Unfortunately, the home he was adopted to was not his forever home as they chose to abandon him and leave him in search of a place that is truly his own!
Jax is a big lovebug and loves to get cuddles! He loves any attention he can get, from anyone he meets! Stuffed toys stand no chance against Jax, he has a blast playing with them, which usually ends with stuffing everywhere. But he loves nothing more than tossing his squeaky toys around! Jax will need a home willing to work on his weight loss. He will need a strict feeding schedule, and a lot of exercise. Jax is very food motivated and will eat anything he can. We suggest using a slow feeder for him, and if he is going to live with other dogs, he will need to be separated from them during meal time. Jax does well with other dogs. He would do best in a home without cats.

Happy home update from Hopper, previously Five Guys! 🥳
This little cutie wasn't in our care for long but quickly gained the love of all staff and volunteers who met him. We are so happy to see him doing well already in his home and hope there are many happy days to come! 🐾

Our handsome boy, Sai, has almost reached his 2nd year anniversary in our care. 😢
Sai was surrendered to us in November 2023 and due to some behaviors we were seeing, we knew he would need a little work. It wasn't until months later when we received a call and were informed that the home environment he came from was a rather volatile one, and that was being reflected in the behaviors we were seeing.
Nearly two years later and Sai has made an incredible amount of progress from when he first came into us! He is able to comfortably interact with all staff and has even begun letting volunteers take him on walks and visit with him. We are still looking for a very specific type of home for Sai, but we are encouraged with his progress that he is very capable of finding the right one for him! ❤

Sai still has a very difficult time in situations where men are interacting with women as he becomes extremely protective over women. Due to this, we are seeking either a woman or man only home where he wouldn't have to feel conflicted or overly protective. He is a very sweet boy when he warms up to you and fancies himself a little bit of a lap dog even at his size! He is definitely a watchful pup and tends to need to check out every bit of his environment before he is comfortable enough to relax for pets or for some play time. Sai walks wonderfully on leash and loves going on car rides, especially when the car ride ends in treats or with a trip to the park!

Happy home update from Millie! ❤
This pretty girl was an absolute favorite among staff with her chatty nature and sweet personality. We are so happy to see her doing well in her home and settling herself in so nicely!
We hope there are many happy days ahead for Millie and her wonderful family!

Ice Cream who was just adopted from us at the end of last week has unfortunately gone missing. If you live in the Settle Court/Quincy Village area, please keep an eye out for her. Please DO NOT chase her and contact the number listed.
