Meet Star!
This low rider came to us recently and she is hoping to find her furever home!
Star is a very energetic girl who really likes to play! She enjoys walks as long as you let her stop and sniff everything! In her previous home she lived with a male dog and she has done well in a play group with a larger dog. Star would do best in cat free home. Happy Friday!
We have a happy home update from Ophelia, previously known as Stringbean!
This sweet girl is loving her life with her furever family. Her human brother quickly became her favorite and her best friend. Her family loves having her and couldn't be happier to make more memories together!

Thursday Spotlight! 🚨🚨
Meet Nadia!
This sweet girl came to us in October 2024, and she is hoping to find her forever home soon!
She has been in our care for 609 days patiently waiting for her perfect match. If you want a mini me, a pup to follow you around and be your best friend? Well come meet Nadia! She has the cutest smile, and loves to greet people with it. Nadia loves playing with squeaky toys, and giving lots of kisses! Nadia has great leash manners, and loves taking long walks. She would do best being the only pet in your home. Nadia has good people manners, but will jump up for a kiss from time to time! Nadia would need a home with kids 12 years and older. NEW THIS YEAR: we will have 2 separate categories. 1 category is for all the dogs and the second category will be "No Dogs Allowed" for all our feline, feathered, barnyard, and scaled friends

We are so sorry to hear about the loss of Cinder. We loved seeing Cinder at our Annual Paws 5k. He will truly be missed by so many. ❤️🐾
We are so grateful for Rough Edges Brewing for thinking of all of our homeless pets during this difficult time.

🥺 This is a tough one. After 11 amazing years, we had to say goodbye to our brew dog over the weekend. Many of you know Cinder from hanging with us while home brewing, during brewery construction, running beer deliveries during Covid, running in the Annual Paws 5k and most recently, running full time security for our 3 little girls at home. As we struggle to say goodbye, we want to celebrate his amazing life with a gesture that was just a big as his heart.

❤️ Help Us Fill the Beer Van for Cinder ❤️

To honor his memory, and the place where we found each other, we're partnering with Antietam Humane Society Inc for a community supply drive to help animals still waiting for their forever homes. Big thanks to the Durboraw’s for their wonderful idea in honor of their boy Mack!

Beginning this week, we'll be collecting:

🐾 Pine litter
🐾 Bleach, laundry detergent and cleaning supplies
🐾 Cat canopies
🐾 Paper towels, toilet paper & tissues
🐾 Food, especially Cat & kitten food (wet or dry, especially Purina Cat Chow & Kitten Chow)

Bring in any size donation during our business hours and we'll thank you with a 10oz pour (limit 1 per customer). Larger donations over $25 will score you a gift card for a 6 pack. You can also email us at [email protected] to schedule a larger delivery outside of normal hours. Our pup loved being the center of attention so please, post and tag us on socials when you come 🐶

Our goal? To completely fill the Rough Edges Beer Van with supplies for the shelter.

Tuesday Spotlight! 🚨🚨
💎💎 HIDDEN GEM💎💎
Say hello to Jacob!
This handsome boy was unfortunately abandoned overnight in the shelter's yard for staff to find in the morning. Due to this, we do not know a whole lot about Jacob's background, but we know he is very deserving of a forever home! Do not let his bark or excitement in the kennel fool you either, Jacob is a big baby!
Jacob would fancy himself a lover of belly rubs and will do plenty of wiggles and itch his back at the same time! This stocky boy is a giant lover who wants nothing more than to find a family who will give him all the scratches, toys and treats he can get! While we don't know a lot of Jacob's background, we do know he is an extremely smart pup! When staff were attempting to see what kind of tricks he knows, we were able to get him to 'sit', 'shake', and 'lay down'. Jacob also walks very nicely on leash and loves going on an outdoor adventure, though, he thinks a yard is pretty snazzy too. Once he does some waddles around the yard, he also has a tendency to get the zoomies, especially if toys are involved!
We have not seen Jacob extensively with other dogs but would be willing to try him in a meet-and-greet with any potential doggy pals. Jacob is not cat friendly so he would need a cat free home. Jacob has loved everyone he has met since coming to us and we would be willing to try him in a home with children!
If you are looking for a happy-go-lucky pup who wants nothing to get some snacks and attention, be sure to stop in and visit Jacob!

We have a happy home update from Charlotte, previously known as Taffy! 🐱
This sweet girl is loving her home and settling in great. She loves napping and watching birds from her cat tree. But boy oh boy does she get the zoomies! One of her favorite toys to play with has been wand toys. But the real key to her heart is is churu! Charlotte and her forever family are so excited for all the memories and years to come! 🐾❤️
