Nova's last sweet yellow boy left for his new home this morning to join a 6 year old chocolate lab companion and 2 little girls who are in for a HUGE surprise after school 🥰

When you have 23 puppies surely there can't be favorites right?!

I had to take these pictures tonight to show some of our special girls that have left

Dark yellows have always been a favorite here at BCY (maybe because of our previous sire Duke?, who at 12 years old is still going strong) and these 2 pretty girls are his granddaughters.

The little lady on the left was the darkest out of all 6 yellow girls from both litters 💛

The black girl on the right however was a true runt. Rarely do we have any born (it's a myth every litter has a runt). Lovingly named Nugget or The Nug, she is older than the yellow pictured but is the same size. We expect her to still mature out at 50 pounds but she was born tiny and defied the odds against her 🩷

You know when your wife says she doesn't want any french fries but you get her some anyways because you know she will just end up eating half (or all) of yours? 🍟

Same applies to husbands and puppies right?

They "say" they don't want one BUT deep down they secretly wish their wife would just do it anyways so they can have a new best buddy 😉

💚 I have the best family who are always willing to help meet when they travel. My parents are going to Pella, IA this Thursday and can meet up with long distance families and the next 2 weekends they will be going down to Mark Twain Lake in Missouri and can meet along the way.

Summer's litter has also gotten plenty big and did great at their vet check this past Wednesday!

Still plenty of babies from this group looking for new homes ☀️

And please tell me I am not the only one who has an 8 year old that decided to pass on all the crocs and sandals by the door and decided snow boots where the best thing to wear in summer 🤦‍♀️
