We're happy to share that we've found a way to help a woman and her beloved dog safely reach their final destination after being stranded in the Springfield area!

We're hoping to raise a little money for gas to help make this journey possible. If you're able to chip in, any amount, big or small, would mean so much!

But we also want to take this opportunity to share something important about The Paws & Wellness Project.

Our mission has always been about more than pet food. While providing food assistance to families in need is a huge part of what we do, our bigger purpose is to help keep pets with the families who love them.

Sometimes that means providing food. Sometimes it means connecting families with resources, helping during unexpected hardships, or stepping in when a family and their beloved pet need a little extra support to get through a difficult situation.

This is exactly what keeping pets with their families looks like. ❤️

We believe financial hardship, homelessness, unexpected circumstances, or a difficult season of life shouldn't automatically mean someone has to say goodbye to their beloved companion.

Every situation looks different, and while we can't solve every problem, we'll always do our best to help where we can.

BIG DREAMS. BIGGER PAWS. A HOME FOR OUR MISSION. 🐾

We've spent the last several months building something truly special through Paws & Wellness Project, and now we're ready to share a BIG dream with all of you!

Our vision is to create a permanent home for Paws & Wellness Project — a place where we can expand our mission, serve more families, and make an even bigger difference for pets in need. 🏡🐶🐱

Imagine a space where we can offer:

🐾 A dedicated pet food pantry to help families keep their beloved pets fed.

🛁 A self-service dog wash station to make pet care more accessible.

✂️ Grooming services to help pets stay healthy, comfortable, and cared for.

❤️ A small resale shop to help fund our mission and keep resources flowing back into the community.

🐕 A central location where we can grow our outreach, support families facing hardship, and continue working to keep pets with the people who love them. And YES, there will be more than pet food available!

This dream is about so much more than a building. It's about creating a place where families can find help without judgment, pets can get the support they need, and our community can come together for a cause that matters.

Now, we're asking our community to help us take the next step. ❤️

❤️ 30 MINUTES. THAT’S HOW CLOSE RUBBLE (formerly Frankie) CAME TO NEVER KNOWING THE LIFE HE DESERVED. 🐾

Look at this picture. A little girl kissing a dog who, earlier this year, was just 30 minutes away from his scheduled euthanasia at Morgan County Animal Control.

His name is Rubble. And today, instead of his story ending in a shelter, he gets to be part of moments like this one. He gets to be loved. He gets to feel safe. He gets a chance. ❤️

But Rubble’s story could have ended very differently.

Right now, there are FIVE URGENT DOGS waiting for their second chance. Five lives. Five stories that haven't been fully written yet. Five dogs who deserve the opportunity to know what it feels like to be somebody's family.

And here's what we need you to know: YOU DON'T HAVE TO ADOPT A DOG TO HELP SAVE ONE.

There are MULTIPLE ways you can be part of changing a life:

🐾 SPONSOR A DOG. You can cover half or all of an adoption fee, helping remove a financial barrier for a family who is ready to say yes. Sometimes, the smallest helping hand is what makes a life-changing adoption possible.

🏡 OPEN YOUR HOME. Become a foster. Give one of these dogs a safe place to land, a warm bed to sleep in, and the chance to show the world who they really are. Fostering helps give a dog the bridge between the shelter and the forever home they've been waiting for.

❤️ ADOPT. If your family has room in your heart and home for a new best friend, one of these four dogs could be the missing piece you never knew you needed. You could be the reason their story has a happy ending.

Maybe you can't bring another dog home. Maybe fostering isn't possible for your family right now. But maybe you could sponsor an adoption fee. Maybe you know someone who's been thinking about adopting. Maybe sharing this post will put it in front of the exact person one of these dogs has been waiting for.

Please don't scroll past these five dogs thinking there's nothing you can do. There is.

Rubble was given a chance just 30 minutes before his time ran out. And look at the love that chance made possible. 🥹❤️
