🌈 In Loving Memory of Rusty 🌈

Many of you knew Rusty, our receptionist Anastasia’s beloved dog, or have heard about his incredible story. Today, we share with heavy hearts that Rusty crossed the rainbow bridge.

Rusty was truly a fighter—bravely facing not just one, but three different cancers: lymphoma, a**l gland adenocarcinoma, and soft tissue sarcoma. On top of that, he also battled kidney disease and a degenerative neurologic disease which affected the use of his rear legs. Through it all, Rusty showed resilience, joy, and an unbreakable bond with Anastasia.

There are no more supportive or loving owners than Anastasia and his human dog dad (also named Rusty). Together, they faced each battle side by side with courage, always prioritizing Rusty’s quality of life.

Rusty touched many lives and his presence will be deeply missed by our entire Avenue of the Saints Animal Hospital family.

Please keep Anastasia in your thoughts during this difficult time. ❤️

Our Story

Avenue of the Saints Animal Hospital in Waverly opened its doors on October 20, 1994, the answer to the dream of Dr. Phyllis Frost. The modern facility was established with the idea of comprehensive medical and surgical care for animal patients in mind. The hospital contains a full laboratory and pharmacy as well as radiology and surgical areas. Our services also include endoscopy, ultrasound, and reproductive services.
