Waverly Animal Shelter Welcome to the Waverly Animal Shelter page. We are employed by the City of Waverly Animal Control.

Animal Control for the City of Waverly, Tennessee 🐾
Helping keep our community safe by managing stray animals, responding to animal concerns, reuniting lost pets with their owners, and supporting animals on their way to adoption. We respond to calls of animals in danger, roaming strays, lost and found animals, abandoned and owner surrendered pets. We partner with The Humphrey's County Humane Soc

iety and our local veterinary offices, to offer these unwanted animals a second chance at life. We work together, to help abused, abandoned, homeless, lost and unwanted animals get the medical attention, food, shelter, water, love and attention they so much deserve. Together with the help of our community and volunteers we are dedicated to finding as many homes as possible for these animals. Humphrey's County Humane Society also offers programs to help offset the costs of spaying and neutering your pet for those, who otherwise, may not be able to afford the full cost. Pet overpopulation is a serious problem, please do your part, be a responsible pet owner, spay and neuter, together we can fight pet overpopulation and save lives.

!!!!ATTENTION!!!!

The Waverly Animal Shelter is closed to intakes for both cats and dogs. We are double our capacity having 91 cats and kittens in our care. We have no more room at all. Dogs are at capacity so we can’t take any owner surrendered dogs at this time. Please be considerate of our circumstances. These crowded conditions are not healthy for the animals. You may call the shelter and we can put you on a waiting list and we will call when a kennel opens up.
