This is Mesquite!
He's one of my favorite dwarfs in the Rattery. As he's getting older he's turning into a potato, but still happily siring the occasional litter. He's super sweet with me, his ladies, cagemates, and babies!

What I thought was mink now looks like BE Tonk.

Look at these thick dumplings!
While I'm sad about the color options, I'm honestly very pleased with the calmness of this bunch so far! They aren't jumpy or squeaky at all (weren't even noisy as pinkies), and didn't try to fling themselves off the lightbox either. I had one hanging on my shoulder confidently the whole time I took pics.

Quoll is also my best mamma in this project line in terms of human engagement, responsiveness, and baby care. Love seeing progress in action!

Boba x Reaper Update!

2 beautiful Black Shadow pups, 1 buck 1 doe.

2 Russian Blue Agouti, 1 buck 1 doe.

This means Boba likely doesn't carry mink - which is honestly crazy for that line, I am frankly amazed 😂. Reaper carries dumbo, very excited to reincorporate it into the velvet line! This pairing also means Reaper is likely Shadow/Mock Agouti too, which was part of the test pairing.
