Looking to hire: veterinary technician/assistant
This position is ideally filled by someone with experience in the veterinary medical field, but training is available for an otherwise qualified applicant.
Main job duties include but are not limited to animal handling and restraint during physical exams; prepping patients for and assisting doctors during surgical procedures; monitoring hospitalized and surgical patients; and client communication regarding patient status, follow-up care, etc.
This is a full-time position that includes an hour lunch daily and one afternoon off per week, working every other Saturday morning. Paid health insurance is available after 30 days employment, as well as 401K match after 6 months employment.

LOOKING TO HIRE - Customer Service Representative/Veterinary Assistant

This position is the first point of contact with clients both in person and on the phone, with tasks ranging from check-in and weighing of small animal patients to scheduling appointments and taking large animal orders over the phone. Administrative duties include applying payments received by mail, assisting doctors with online document preparation, and utilizing the email account for obtaining and sending records, photos, etc.

Please note, this job involves working with the public in multiple arenas - in person, on the phone, and online. A professional attitude is expected.

Computer knowledge is a must as all of our scheduling and billing occurs online, in addition to accessing and completing laboratory submission forms, health certificates, and other documentation.

Doctors may also require assistance during exams and procedures for both small and large animal patients. Animal handling experience is preferred but not required.

Coffey County Vet would like to welcome Dr. Brande Beyer to the clinic! Brande was in our vet school class at Kansas State and has been practicing since graduation, just like us! She enjoys working on both large and small animals, so you'll see her in the clinic and out at the chute or on farm calls. She and her family are local to the Burlington area, so many of you may recognize them 😊 we're very excited and proud to add her to the team!
