Late to posting, but what's new? 😆
Last week, Raz & I spent a quick 24 hours in Buffalo at The Laundromutt!
Raz had the opportunity to be a demo dog for the incredibly talented Michelle Breen during a private class for The Laundromutt's team of groomers.
This was an interesting one because although it was Raz's second demo, it was his FIRST time having someone other than me work on him while I was present. 😅
And let me tell you... he was NOT impressed.
He spent the first 30 minutes being personally offended that someone other than his mother had the audacity to groom him. After throwing an embarrassing little fit, he finally settled down and let Michelle do her job.
For those who don't know, Michelle is an incredibly accomplished master groomer, multiple-time GroomTeam USA member, and WORLD CHAMPION! She helped bring home gold at the 2017 World Team Grooming Championships and won Best in Show at the 2018 Groom Olympics.
Needless to say, this was an AMAZING opportunity for both of us!
For Raz, it meant more exposure and experience working with someone other than me. For me, it was an opportunity to have someone with Michelle's level of talent evaluate, adjust his lines, and share her knowledge.
One thing I love about this industry is that no matter how far you get, there's ALWAYS something new to learn. Especially as someone still relatively new to competing, opportunities like this mean so much.
A huge thank you to Michelle for sharing her knowledge and putting up with my dramatic little man, and to The Laundromutt for allowing us to be part of your team's educational experience!
Raz may have had some opinions, but I think we both walked away better for it 🤍🐩
