🐾 Baxter’s Story 🐾

When Baxter first came to us, he had been turned away from multiple grooming salons, and other professional groomers had been unable to complete his groom and he was asked to not come back. But we saw Baxter differently, we saw a dog who simply needed patience, understanding, trust, and a second chance.

Over his last few appointments with us, Baxter has completely transformed. Seeing how far he has come has been incredibly rewarding. His story is a perfect example of what we believe at Forest Mills Board & Groom: every dog deserves a chance.

We aren’t afraid of a challenge, and we don’t give up easily. Whether a pet is nervous, difficult to groom, has had a bad experience in the past, or simply needs a little extra time and patience, we are willing to meet them where they are and work together at their pace.

I’m sure you’ve seen Julie around this summer and wondered, who is this nice gal? Julie is a High School student at Postville. She is involved in wrestling, track and field, and FCCLA. In her free time she enjoys walking her dogs, and spending time with her friends and family. Julie enjoys meeting all the dogs who come in and loves playing with them! You’ll find her and tenley on the trampoline! She loves working at FMBG and we love having her!

Fall sure feels like it’s right around the corner! Just wanted to give grooming clients an update! Starting end of August Cheyanne will be starting college, Taylor will be the only full time groomer and Grace is part time! Prebook your grooming appts, they are going to go REALLY fast! In June we groomed over 200 pets! If you book boarding appts and want your dog groomed message us asap as we’ll hold back a limited number of time slots for boarding dogs to be groomed!

It truly has been the dog days of summer the last couple of weeks! But things are looking up!
