New Level 1 Dog Training Classes added!

Monday, September 15th at 7:30 pm

Thursday, October 30th at 7:30 pm skip November 27th

Classes take place at Camp Bow Wow Waukesha, and meet once a week for six weeks. Cost $168, proof of Bordetella, Distemper, and Rabies is Required.

This class focuses on problem behaviors like jumping, mouthing, potty training, chewing, and more. We also work on basic cues including name, sit, down, come, stay, loose leash walking, wait Leave-It, and more!

Join me for upcoming group classes!

It's the dog days of summer☀️ and its a perfect time to work with your pup on their behavior skills! Sign them up for group training classes with Andria from Paws Laws Positive Dog Training to unleash your pup's potential!🌟

Here are our upcoming available classes:
🐾 Level 1 Class (pups over 5 months old): Thursday August 14th at 7:30pm - Work on those foundation behaviors like sit, stay, and down all while building the connection between you and your pup!

🐾 Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Class (pre-req Level 2 or trainer approval): Tuesday July 29th at 7:30pm - You and your pup will work to master the skills needed to take the Canine Good Citizen evaluation so your pup can officially become CGC certified! The CGC class covers all ten skills that are evaluated during the exam including sit, down, stay, learning how to sit politely in a crowd and accepting handling at the vet and more.

These three graduated last week from the Level 1 Class! They did an amazing job and made some huge progress! They all did a great job learning basic cues and building on those with distractions.

They all also had some great exposure to new things. Pallets, people, dogs, doors, we're novel to some of the dogs.

This is Teddy! We worked on a lot of basics cues and general puppy behaviors.

This pup had me laughing so hard. We went outside to work on potty training and loose leash walking. He starts doing zooming around me, just the cutest thing. I laughed so hard, and the start of that loose leash walking session was terrible.

He was doing AMAZING with his walking host one week later!

This is Dakota, a very energetic lab puppy. He went through group puppy training but was still having a lot of trouble at home. Some of it being "typical puppy" behaviors. Dakota also had a very hard time settling.

We worked on how to teach him to be calm, basic cues, and behavior management in the household. An appropriate sleep/exercise schedule, and how to feasible meet his mental and physical energy needs. As his people can tell you, it wasn't always easy, but he made such great progress!!!

I love group training for puppies. However, sometimes in-home private training can be the best way to go to help with specific behaviors and 5 a plan based on the household lifestyle and abilities.

I'm so proud of all of your progress Dakota and family!

I met this cutie at HAWSFEST. She was barking and lunging at the other dogs when they came into her view. A fear response.

We worked a lot on understanding dog body language, when time is needed for our of to decompress, how to make new things positive. We also learned that different flooring textures were scary and increased her overall anxiety.

Working with fearful and anxious dogs can be a slow process, but it's so rewarding to watch them gain confidence in this big world!
