Volunteers Needed! 🦜❤️

We are looking for dedicated volunteers who want to make a difference in the lives of our feathered friends! Our flock depends on an amazing team of volunteers to keep everything running smoothly.

Our BIGGEST NEED right now is Wednesday and Saturday cage cleaners. If you have a few hours to spare and would love to help care for our birds, we would love to have you join the team!

This beautiful girl is a 30-year-old Goffin’s Cockatoo who is tame, handleable, and in great feather. She may be missing one little thing… her tail! ❤️

Unfortunately, Princess has found her way back to CARE for the third time. During her first stay with us, a mass was discovered on her tail. It was surgically removed by her veterinarian, along with the affected portion of her tail. Despite everything she has been through, Princess is still a sweet, beautiful girl who is ready for a home of her own.

📍 CARE is located in Waukesha, WI and we do not ship birds. All adopters must live within a 100-mile radius.

Join us at Culligan's Wags & Water Community Fest on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 9 AM - Noon at Culligan of Waukesha as we celebrate their 80+ years of local service. It's free admission, open to the public, and we would love to invite you to attend.

CARE will bring our macaw, Guiana, to the event and provide educational opportunities to learn about our organization and how you can support our bird and animal rescue mission.

*Wow, you guys are awesome! We had a lot of inquiries and now we are ready to process the applications*. Thank you so much to everyone who inquired about these girls!
Raindrop and Jasmine are bonded 9 year old sisters who need a quiet foster to adopt home. We are hoping to find someone who is home more than gone and who doesn't have big dogs. These girls had to leave their home of 8+ years when their owner's health declined rapidly. They are both very sweet and love people. They ride quietly in the car and bark very little (only to alert you when someone rings the bell or knocks on the door). They are spayed and will have a full veterinary exam soon. If you think you can take care of these 2 for the rest of their golden years please send me a message.

When new toys come in… our birds don’t just play with the toys. 😂

They play with EVERYTHING that comes with them! The box? Toy. The paper? Toy. The packing material? Obviously a toy. The actual toy we got? Well… we’ll get to that eventually. 🤣🦜
