After careful consideration, Barber Creek will remain permanently closed. We have enjoyed serving you and your furry companions, and we thank you for the trust you have placed in us over the years.

We are pleased to announce that we have entered into a merger agreement with our sister practice, Gaines School Animal Hospital, and Shoal Creek Animal Clinic, to form Gaines+Shoal Animal Clinic! This merger will ensure we continue to uphold our goal of providing the best medicine to our community's pets with the familiar faces you have come to know and trust!

This merger will combine our teams' expertise, experience, and passion to create a dynamic and innovative veterinary practice that will continue to put the health and well-being of our patients first.

Barber Creek will move to 1860 Barnett Shoals Rd. Suite 108, Athens, GA 30605. This merger will occur in early June, and we will take appointments starting June 19th.

We understand you may have questions about how this merger will affect your pet's care. Our top priority will always be to provide the highest quality veterinary care to your furry family members. Our new clinic will offer more specialists and a greater range of services, including advanced diagnostics, surgery, grooming, dentistry, acupuncture, and emergency care.

While we continue to work towards providing the staff to serve you and your pets, we will continue to be closed through May. The closure will start on May 1, 2023, and is expected to last throughout the month. We will keep you updated on the plans to reopen.

We had a bit of a difficult case recently. A cat was struggling to give birth to her kittens and needed our help! Our staff was able to perform life saving measures. Mama and kittens are doing great now!
