Patagia & Tails Sugar Gliders A small hobby breeder of lineaged, healthy, and hand-friendly sugar gliders. All joeys are lineaged. All joey adoptions come with a health guarantee.

A small, passionate hobby breeder of lineaged, healthy, hand friendly joeys, and suggie safe toy vendor of the SGSA. Our breeding pairs are methodically selected for health, appearance, and temperament. We are currently producing (classic gray), whiteface, blackface, black beauty, with a variety of mosaics, as well as creme red lines producing for creme-ino, platinum and leu. All the gliders here

are our pets and family members first and foremost, our joeys are handled daily from oop (out of pouch), and carried out and about in daily life to get them comfortable with different settings, sounds, and smells. We believe that you get back what you put into an animal, be good to your pets and they will return that 10 fold with love and loyalty. Striving to improve pet gliders, and to bless other homes with great companions as ours has been blessed. Glider ownership is a continuous journey of growth and learning which we look forward to. When adopting out a joey we like to form friendships, we love receiving pictures and updates, but will also be available day or night, any time, to answer any questions or help how ever I can. I do not promote impulse buys and I work to promote education, and for potential owners, I do so in part by using a questionnaire form to find out where the customer is at in their ownership phase and journey, and identifying any weak points. Located in central Maine; shipping to any glider legal area via airlines, or ground transport at the customer’s expense. A 30% nonrefundable deposit is required on joeys and pre-approved payment plans are accepted. All pet male joeys are neutered before they go home and all joeys adopted are pet only, unless otherwise noted. Our toys are created in a pet-friendly home but no animals come into contact with any supplies or items.

🔥NEW SPECIES OF MARSUPIAL DISCOVERED IN ‘CLOUD FOREST’ OF PERU🔥

In the remote cloud forests of northern Peru, scientists have uncovered a brand-new species of marsupial named Marmosa chachapoya. Discovered in the Río Abiseo National Park at an elevation of nearly 2,700 meters, this tiny mouse-opossum is just about 4 inches long with reddish-brown fur, a dark facial “mask,” and a tail longer than its body. Its unique skull and dental structure, along with genetic testing, confirmed that it was distinct from other related species. The name honors the Chachapoya people, who once inhabited this region of the Andes.

What makes the find especially exciting is that only one specimen has been documented so far, meaning little is known about its behavior, range, or role in the ecosystem. Researchers believe its discovery highlights the hidden biodiversity of Peru’s cloud forests, which remain among the least explored habitats on Earth. With fewer than 50,000 individuals of some marsupial species worldwide, documenting new species like Marmosa chachapoya is crucial for conservation. This tiny marsupial serves as a reminder that even in the modern age, there are still incredible animals waiting to be recognized and protected.
