“BAD DOGS ONLY SEMINAR helped with our very reactive dog. We could not walk her without her lunging at cars, trucks, people, dogs, you name it. After the 2 day seminar, we can walk her anywhere. She is calm. She is peaceful. K9 rehab knows how to help your dog and you find calmness.” - Lee Lavi | Massachusetts

“I truly can’t say enough good things about K9 Rehab and everything they’ve done for us. Before training, our life with him felt chaotic and overwhelming at times — walks were stressful, reactivity controlled so much of our daily life, and we honestly felt stuck not knowing how to help him.
This program completely changed our lives. He has learned how to self-regulate, decompress, and even love his crate, which is something I never imagined for him. Seeing him calmer, more confident, and able to exist peacefully in situations that once overwhelmed him has been incredible.
More than just training our dog, they taught us how to better understand him and set him up for success. It genuinely feels like we have a whole new dog and a whole new life together. I am beyond grateful to Justin and the entire K9 Rehab team for their guidance, patience, and support throughout this process. Knowing we now have the tools to continue helping him thrive is priceless. Thank you for changing our lives and helping our dog become the happiest, most balanced version of himself.” - Sierra C | CT

This is exactly what a well-bred clear-minded dog looks like. Already holding PLACE at distance calmly.

“Our dog Pearl finished her rehab program a little over two weeks ago. When we acquired Pearl from our local animal control, she was great at first. She started showing signs of reactivity and being bossy within a few weeks. We quickly knew we were in over our head. Through the training at K9 Rehab we quickly learned all the mistakes we made when we first brought her home. She had full run of the house which actually caused more chaos in her little brain. We found that Pearl does very well with tasks and structure. Through the many classes, Justin and Molly taught us all about an E collar. I pushed hard against that. We learned that this is a tool that helps us better communicate, not punish. This isn’t just training, It’s rehabbing her from the previous life that the dog did not choose. Reactivity is no longer something that scares me, we were taught how to heal and help her. I was not a fan of crates either because I saw it as a punishment. Again, through education, I learned otherwise. Our pup enjoys her safe space and puts herself into the crate when she is ready to decompress. She is happy to hang out with us on her place and will not run towards the door or people. Having peace and seeing her thrive is priceless. Knowing that Justin and his team are just a phone call away is very reassuring.” - Laura Fitzgerald

“K9 Rehab has not only transformed my dogs life, but it has taught me how to be a better dog owner to set my dog up for a safer, more peaceful, better quality of life. I can’t say enough good things about their program and Justin’s way of teaching. I have gone to countless trainers in the past and seen little to no difference in my dog Jovi’s behavior, and never learned how to be a better owner myself. Within just 1 class at K9 Rehab, Jovi was already learning and showing major behavioral improvements. After 2 classes she was walking loosely on leash, less reactive, and voluntarily putting herself to bed in her crate at home. The K9 Rehab team makes me feel so confident and safe despite the former stresses of owning a reactive dog. I am so excited to continue seeing our progress in the next few months! I could not recommend them enough ❤️” - Erica + Jovi | CT

Mya’s Crate / Kennel Aggression. Problem-solving barrier aggression can be a very difficult task because quite often the aggression and the stress is very specific for the moment the door is closed. Mya’s unique struggle is that she would go right in and then turn around and try to attack the person who was closing the door. The conflict here that led the stress over the last five years is that she wanted to go in because of the learned helplessness of living in that kennel so much time. The aggression with the door being closed is the acute struggle with being confined. Her viciousness as the door is closed for a direct result of the conflicting emotions between wanting to be in the kennel and not wanting to be confined to it. Our solution was to use a long 20 foot lead to close the kennel door and as you can see in this video that mitigated her learned behavior towards the person closing the door because there was no one close enough to target. This is only the start, but if you’d stay tuned, you will see the growth of our new favorite rescue dog.
