My heart is breaking at the amount of animals being left behind during Hurricane Harvey. The sad part is is that not only are some people leaving them behind but some are tying their pets to objects meaning the pet can't even try and escape. My heart aches for these poor animals.

Every domestic animal needs a home, not every home needs an animal. If you can't promise to do your utmost best by an animal and give it absolutely everything you have in their short life span then please I beg you reconsider.

Every time I take Sonja (the blue pit bull to the left) she sits and waits at this fence for a full thirty minutes for the next door neighbors dog to come greet her at the fence. Definitely a kind of love for the books ❤️📚🐶
