The ends of my weeks have been soooo busy but I get to slow down a bit for the next couple of days and work on some art! I have gotten to meet so many amazing new fur babies lately and absolutely loving the new things Ive been getting to try with some of my regular pups 🥰 Lots of sweet love bugs! Ive had a few very shy kitties and its always so rewarding earning their trust ❤️

I have been having such a blast playing with a hula hoop with most of the dogs I get to work with!! They talked about it on Sexier Than A Squirrel Podcast from 👏 I went out and bought a hoop the next day and have been having such a blast with it ever since! Ive personally watched it help build a pups confidence over the course of a month and it has been so cool! Ill definitely have to share some of the stuff we have been doing ☺️ One pittie I care for is incredibly nervous but has come leaps and bounds from where she was just from the hoop work alone!! Its so much fun and teaches great spatial awareness too!

I have been taking in a lot of photo editing content and since I hope to get more professionally into pet photography Im putting some practice in 👏 This was from a photoshoot almost 2 years ago and I was curious how I would edit now ☺️ Im super proud of the improvement I can see! Some of my old favorites in this weeks throwback Thursday ☺️ the first photo, Ive always thought was especially cute and she was the sweetest old gal!! My own cute boy is in here too with his big adorable smile 🥰 he is in great spirits as he’s healing poor guy is just super itchy. Hoping the treatments we got Tuesday will do the trick 🤞 my older kitty Piper has had less of an appetite lately and was throwing up for a little bit but finally seems to be feeling a bit better. I wish there was better support out there for kitties 🥺 I love the way I can support my dog with his health. I’m sure there’s gotta be companies that I haven’t even heard of yet. It’s just hard to find them and to know what’s legitimate. Hopefully someday the market will be there 👏

Sammy has been on the move supplement for a week now and I already feel like he is moving a bit more comfortably! He is still on protect for his gut and immunity too ❤️ As soon as he is over this itchiness he FINALLY gets to have the cone of shame off!! He’s going to be so happy 😂 I think our legs will be happier though after the amount of times he has head-butted us with the cone 😬

There were SO many photos I absolutely loved this week I actually had a hard time narrowing down which ones I wanted to post 😳 Lots of gorgeous & adorable fur babies and summer time is always packed! I love how much personality I captured this week 🤗

I have two slower days the next couple days then crazy busy the entire second half of the week 😅 Gonna be important to balance my energy! Grateful my life partner, Justin is always so amazing and the one person I trust to share my work with. Someone I can share all the ups & downs with who fully understands ❤️ I have loved connecting with the couple of other pet sitters/dog walkers Ive made friends/acquaintances with!!

Im obsessed with the sunrise photos I got of the handsome 🤩 he definitely knows hes a cutie!

Its throwback Thursday again and I have some cuties to share ❤️ most of these cuties have moved away so it’s definitely bittersweet going through the photos this week. Im curious are you more of a dog person or a cat person? Or both? Ive always been so split down the middle on it and it flip flops on different aspects 😂 I actually don’t think I could choose just one!

Sammy is doing great healing wise but my poor boy is SO itchy out of nowhere with zero signs of any of the typical causes 😭 I just want him to be able to be comfy and happy!! My older kitty Piper is also acting out of sorts and its stressing me out 🥺❤️ I made her an appointment for next week but Im hoping she starts feeling better soon. I miss my sweet, talkative princess. My fur babies really are my everything. Its been a balance right now trying to make sure they all get what they need with the extra care for the moment. Im grateful how wonderful pet parents have been in flexibility to make sure I can get to vet appointments 🥹

Favorite photos from last weeks pets 🥰 my weekend especially was full of lots of pups! I have been having tons of fun playing with dogs with a hula hoop (it’s a great confidence builder believe it or not!) and its been a blast! One of the cuties I care for has the most excited hops through it now and she had fear of the hula hoop the entire first week. Whenever she has been spooked, we dont run, we work through it and we work to sit calmly. Yesterday I got to see the payoff of the effort because a stick caught on her leash, she spooked for a moment then calmed, the stick fell right off, and we continued on the walk like nothing really happened. I was very very proud of her 🥰 these are some of my favorite things about working with fur babies!

I also have a Sammy update for you guys 🥰 his lumps both tested benign and he goes back Wednesday to have his stitches and staples removed! We had 2 lumps on his leg that we have a bit of concern with so we are going to have to see what he thinks and possibly get them needle aspirated, but we will see 🤞 It did give me the push to just go for it and get him Move in addition to his Protect supplement and I cant wait to watch this work its magic for my sweet boy ❤️🐾

I met a really awesome pup this weekend who was out with his mom at the beach ☺️ we ended up chatting and this here is Bizcocho (I hope Im spelling that right) and he came from overseas. She met him while she was teaching and they bonded immediately, so she ended up going through the process to bring him home! Definitely one of the coolest stories Ive gotten to hear! He can practically run on water and will go find rocks in the water 😂🤩 I love meeting cool people through my love of animals! He was such a handsome boy I couldn’t resist snapping some pics for his mom! Which pic is your favorite? Mine is definitely the first!!

The last slide cracks me up, Letti & Kiki are too cute and so silly when they play together! I had the nicest weekend overnight with them and they both give the best snuggles!

Hello fur families!! I am SO excited to announce that I’ve joined the ambassador team at Pet MatRX 🤩 I listen to sooo many pet podcasts but I was hooked immediately when I heard Tannisha talk about on podcast. Im a huge science nerd, especially animal science and biology so I was very intrigued when she started explaining the science behind the supplements, learning a lot about the supplement industry and things to watch for, and learning ever MORE about nutrition (which has become a favorite subject of mine ever since taught me about the dog food industry) and immediately starting telling anyone who would listen about how AMAZING the science is behind Pet MatRX supplements! I plan to get him on the joint support as well!

Its throwback thursday again, but first Sammys surgery went great yesterday and hes happily resting and healing at home ❤️ its gonna be a couple weeks of healing but I cant wait to see him feeling better and better. My poor boy was hurting this morning until the meds set in 🥺 But he has been comfy all day thankfully!

Some of my favorite photos from last week 🐾❤️ I watched some very cute kitties especially! I love watching fur babies that are more shy, because bringing them out of their shell is one of the most rewarding parts of this job 🥰 especially when I get to really start seeing the personality! Here’s a few tips I have for building trust with new cats:
🐱 Keep most of the petting where the cat can see and don’t try to surprise pet them. Typically I find most don’t like having their lower back touched until they trust you.

🐈‍⬛ Be mindful of the body language and learn the cues. If you’re petting a cat and their ears go back/down or their tail is starting to flick more, they are likely getting over stimulated. Take a small break from touch and when they calm they will typically ask for more love if they want it!

🐈 If a cat likes to play, that can be a GREAT way to bring them out of their shell. Trying different ways of moving the toys too! Think about how a bug or little critter might move and try to mimic that with the toy how you can. (Play can help a dog come out of their shell as well, but you have pay a lot of attention to how they feel about your movements at first!)

Ive got my favorite pics from last week to share with you guys! The first one, the adorable miss Kiki, is one of my favorite cat pics Ive captured 🤣 she is such a playful cutie! I hope everyone has had a good start to their week ❤️ My own dog, Sammy, has been having some problems with one of his skin tags so its got us a bit stressed but thankfully vca got us moved up to this Thursday so hopefully whatever is going on can be managed quickly. I hate when fur babies are in pain 😭🥺 keep my best boy in your thoughts and send him thoughts good health ❤️🐾
