Wes Hatcher lets his horses graze on his lawn. They don’t run off. It is a beautiful way to cut the grass. Cayenne stays on the lawn. I’m teaching Smoke to do the same. I’m holding on to Smoke’s lead line for a while.

Don Dickerson mixed 1/2 water and 1/2 pinalen in a sprayer. He sprayed the perimeter of the stalls. This cut down the flies 80%. This stuff works. Make sure the pine oil is 100% natural.

Mentally getting back in the saddle after an accident. Is this the actual memory you keep thinking about? An actual memory you fear? Is it a MANUFACTURED memory? Someone yold you what happened, you can’t remember. You make up your own memory. Manufactured memories aren’t yours. These manufactured memories can keep you out of the saddle. Payton and Delt are two peas in a pod.

Back to equine dentistry, how could I miss Willow tolerated dental pain? Willows classic symptoms of dropping food and this clicking sound in her jaw. No weight loss. Pat said with her jaw locked we could have used any bit and it would not make a difference. She did take a heavy rein from time to time. It will be so different for her this week.

Been awhile since I posted about Smoke. If worries and work could make this horse fatter, we all at Oak Hill, did enough of that she would gigantic. She trail rode yesterday like a dream. It takes more than one person to rehab a horse to health.
