🌼🌼edited to add - the blue rooster in this chart can be any blue rooster like Cream Leg Bar, Ameracuna, Whiting True Blue etc. This chart applies to all of them. It’s a general idea. I highly recommend visiting her site to learn more.🌼🌼

People ask me, “what can I do with a Silverudd Rooster?” Here is a chart showing you all the variables that can happen when covering your hens with a blue rooster.

She has done such a fantastic job with her charts and I love referencing her site.

Theoretically, because the Silverrudd’s carry the blue egg gene, but they are “olive” their F1OE’s should be darker than if you were to use a Cream Legbar or Ameracuana.

I am going to test this out. My Isabel Ameracuana laid some of the most vibrant blue eggs I have ever seen and had they not been so broody and unproductive, I would have kept them. I didn’t really notice a huge difference in my F1OE’s.

I hope to have F1OE results by Spring and will share my result
