Hoarfrost Aerie is a small farm owned and operated by a Combat wounded US Army veteran and his family. We specialize in AKDA registered Karakachan livestock guardian dogs, and AKC registered Great Danes. Our Karakachans started their jobs in AK in Fairbanks, working with Cows, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, and ducks. We have recently relocated to Wasilla where they work with sheep, chickens, turkeys, ducks, and geese.

I have been very quiet for over a year.
Cameron, the matron of Hoarfrost Aerie, has late stage colon cancer. Both she and I have been traveling non stop for her treatment for the past year. We have come to the very hard conclusion that we will not be able to provide the life that our Karakachans deserve.
I am going to be opening them up for adoption to working homes. All of our adult dogs have experience with goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, geese, ducks, and cows.
They are going to be rusty because we got rid of all of our livestock last summer (2024)
Whom ever takes them will have to sign a no breeding contract. There will be a rehoming fee.

We have four Young ladies looking for jobs. We are also dealing with the matron of Hoarfrost Aerie (Cameron) battling cancer and receiving treatment out of state.
I (Dan) am out of state as well while Cameron is battling her cancer. I am offering an opportunity for families that may not have the funds to hire one of these ladies at our normal fee.
It is important to me that these ladies get good Job placements. There will be a fee and a Spey/neuter contract. Both the contract and the fee will be significantly less than I normally require.
I want these ladies to go to good homes where they will have a job. If you know of anyone who has need of a LGD, or Guardian dog please send them my way.
