Not because she had nothing to say —

And then the horse came.
No questions. No explanations. No advice.

As if to say:
"I'm here. I see you. I hear even what you don’t say."

We all have those moments,
when the sky feels dim,
and the heart longs for even a drop of light.

And often, it’s an animal —
the one who never betrays,
and asks for nothing in return —
who becomes that gentle presence
we so desperately needed.
