Only one more session tomorrow and then Fuzzy Butt officially wraps up for the year until January! It’s been a wonderfully full season, and I’m very ready for a deep breath, a little rest, and some quiet time before jumping into what’s next.
This year has been a big milestone for me, one I’m still absorbing with a very full heart. From winning multiple photography awards, co-hosting a multi-day workshop in Cannon Beach, doing the most number of private sessions I've had to date and many other personal and professional achievements.
One that I am very excited and happy to share about - some of you already know, some don't - is that I’ve been accepted and awarded multiple scholarships to attend Graduate school where I will be pursuing an MFA in Illustration through SCAD - The University for Creative Careers.
I’m so excited for this next chapter and for how it will continue to shape my storytelling, creative growth, and the artwork I get to make for you and your animals. I will still be around the area, as the program is online, but rather intensive when in session and so my private sessions will be a bit more limited.
That said, I'm going to be creating more fun opportunities at my home studio during those times - color powder sessions, purposely cheesy studio portraits, and many more ideas on the way!
In conjunction with my Illustrative studies, I'm looking into putting together some fun painting classes/workshops in my studio space for those interested in learning Watercolor, Acrylic or just participate in fun creative activities focused on nature, animals and pets. We will listen to great music, learn some fun creative techniques and encourage personal growth and cultivating wonderful memories!
As with every year, I’m endlessly grateful to everyone who stepped in front of my camera, trusted me with their beloved companions, shared their stories, and supported my journey in ways big and small. This community truly means more to me than I can put into words. I honestly see you all as an extended family,
And while I never quite manage to send out holiday cards of my own due to timing and workload this time of year, I always send my warmest and best wishes to you all and absolutely love receiving all the sweet gifts and thoughtful cards and messages. The memories I get to capture for you inevitably become my memories too, and I feel incredibly lucky to share them with so many people I genuinely love and appreciate.
Wishing you all and yours a very Merry Christmas, happy holiday season, and a happy, healthy New Year. Thank you for being part of my world, and I can’t wait to create with you again in 2026. 💛
