All jokes aside as much as I try to befriend every dog I see I always make sure it’s ok with the person and happily agree when they say no! Not every dog wants to say hi and not every owner wants you to say hi. Always ask to keep everyone safe and happy!

I hate stories like this. .

These are just jokes and trying to use humor as way to cope with these things. I don’t condone any violence towards any person or organization, but man do they need to do better. I understand the job as a police officer has to be intense. I won’t pretend like understand that, but to do that to a dog so easily shows there needs to be better training. More than half the population has a dog. Meaning most encounters in peoples homes will have a dog. Most departments have dogs on staff. I won’t pretend to have the answers, but it hurts to see this over and over again.

Just whining at the door like the rest of us don’t exist. .

All jokes aside this is why it’s great for everyone to get involved in our dog’s training. That could be as simple as walks, play, or even some puppy massage time. Get everyone involved and the dog won’t have favorites. . Except me. . Im always the dogs favorite. .

All jokes aside. Not feeding your dog during your own meal times helps reduce begging by setting a clear boundary around food expectations. When dogs learn that human meals are not a shared feeding opportunity, they’re less likely to hover, whine, or try to get attention at the table. Staying consistent with this rule teaches them patience and structure, and over time they start to relax during meals instead of anticipating food rewards.

The biggest hurt is when my dog lifts his head and just looks at me, huffs, and lays his head back down. It’s the dog version of saying “nah”
