Hey… look at me!
My name is Dexter and I am new to Pet Search!
I came here because my owner no longer wanted me… they “dumped” me in a neighborhood where I was able to find a nice family who scooped me up and called Pet Search to take me in. My foster family is so cool and I have lots of new friends (both dog and cat) to play with but I am so happy to sit in my foster mom’s lap and make biscuits with my extra toes. Yes, you heard me right… I am a polydactyl with lots of extra toes on my front paws. Some people call us “Hemingway Cats” but the bottom line is that with my extra toes I Ican make more biscuits on your lap or tap your face gently without using my claws.
Since arriving at my foster home, I have been felv/fiv tested, wormed, flea treated, microchipped and neutered. (Whew-busy day!) but that means I am healthy and ready to move on to my next adventure inside a warm, loving home. Just look at this face-irresistible right? And all the extra toes make me extra special!
My grey shorthair fur feels like velvet😊
They gave me a birthdate of 5/4/25 so I have lots of years ahead of me to be your “purr-fect”boy!
Interested? Complete this application to set up a “meet and greet”… you bring the coffee ‘cause I can make the “biscuits”😀

I’m Sebastian, a 1.5 year-old brown sharps mixed breed boy with a heart full of love! 🐕 My birthdate I am told is 3/20/25. I was abandoned in Washington Park and made my way to Pet Search from Animal Control. I’m medium-sized boy about 40 pounds, crate trained, and already great with other dogs and not reactive to cats, which means I’m ready to bring joy to an active household. I’m affectionate, friendly, and loyal to my core, so once you win my heart, you’ve got a friend for life. ❤️ I’’m fully vaccinated, neutered, 4dx negative, microchipped and every month I take a simparica trio for fleas and ticks! Come meet me and let’s start our adventure together! 🎾

Look at that smile!!!!

Midnight (6/1/18) was just a two-year-old pup when we named him Christian upon arrival at Pet Search in 2020 with his "brother" after our volunteer humane police officer investigated a neglect case. Midnight has returned to Pet Search because, after four years, his brother Dior, also part of the humane case, has been attacking him. Midnight is the sweetest boy with no aggression, a lover who wants to be your lap dog and shadow. He's happiest being close to his owner and can be a bed hog, stealing covers if allowed. Midnight is current on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and was foster with cats, being slowly introduced. He's protective of chews and food, so he's fed separately, but great with children. Midnight enjoys zoomies in the yard, walks (though pulls on the leash when excited), car rides, and is crate-trained, housebroken, and doesn't bark. He's looking for a family to give him another chance after his adoptive family surrendered him back to Pet Search for his safety. Please give this boy the chance he deserves. How can you say "no" to his beautiful smile?❤️ https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAPS/Dog

Carmel (5/24/25) was trapped with her mother living in a small colony in Belie Vernon. Her mom was released back to the area after being spayed; however Carmel was easy to handle and stayed with Pet Search for adoption.
This beautiful girl with big gold eyes begins to purr immediately when picked up and held. She is felv/fiv negative, vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. Her ear was tipped as protocol for a TNR cat, and we tell her it gives her character.
Carmel is excellent with other cats and getting acclimated to living with dogs. She is a tiny girl but looks much larger in her photo❤️
