I am beyond overwhelmed with emotions from all of the love and thoughtful messages from so many. Thank you. 🤍🤍
I will say that I am ok and there is a blessing behind the difficult time right now.

I am so lost for words that could ever explain my gratitude to how many have reached out in numerous ways to share their sentiments. I promise I’ll do my best to get back to each of you as soon as I can!
This community is certainly one big family and the offer of support is shown endlessly.

I wanted to share a potential option for a groomer in the semi local area of Kalona: her name is Chelsea Bowlin at Country Paw Spa, she is accepting new clients.
I cannot attest for any groomers’ performances as far as their style of grooming, Or overall job performance.. but
there has been a large amount of you needing a recommendation. I am so sorry to say there is just not a lot of options available. 😢😢
Again I will do my best to get back to each of you asking questions as soon as possible.

Good morning everyone,

I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart to share some difficult news. Due to personal circumstances, I will be closing The Laundro-Mutt Grooming Salon for the unforeseeable future, as I’m currently unable to perform the duties required in this line of work.

This decision has been incredibly hard to make because each and every one of you—and your amazing pets—have meant so much to me. Being trusted to care for your pets has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I’ve cherished the bonds we’ve built and the long lasting relationship that has been made as I spent so much time with your babies!
I poured my heart and soul into building this business to provide a service that I truly loved and I hope to have an opportunity again in the future to continue this line of work. But as for the next chapter of my life, I will need to put my focus elsewhere and not be able to provide my necessary attention to keep this business thriving and give everyone the service they deserve for their fur babies.

Please know how deeply grateful I am for your support, kindness, and loyalty over the years. You’re not just clients to me—you’ve become a part of family to me. I cannot express how much I am blessed for having met and continue to know some absolutely incredible people in this community.

You will still find me around the area and I am more than happy to assist you in anyway I can to make this transition for you as smoothly as possible. If you need recommendations for other grooming related businesses in the meantime, feel free to reach out—I’ll do my best to point you in the right direction. I will say, that there are limited resources for professional pet grooming services though and I can’t promise that any services performed are up to each individuals standard. Please be kind and know all groomers of the world do this career because they TRULY LOVE YOUR PET.

Alyssa has been having some continuing health concerns and is ending up with some unexpected days off, with not a clear indication of when things might be normal again. We would really appreciate your full understanding and flexibility with scheduling your pups appts.

We certainly do not want to cause inconveniences but with us being such a small grooming salon we do not have many options when Alyssa is needing to be out.

We are also very full right now with Spring being here and many people wanting their pups cleaned up! We are going to work as diligently as possible to take care of all inquiries but please remember if you are inquiring for the same day or week you call on, we cannot accommodate. We are needing you to contact a month in advance or more for requested appointments..

We have had a few obstacles in the last couple days that have caused appointments to need to be rearranged. I am very sorry for the inconvenience this causes everyone.

I am having to take care of my dog who is not well right now. After being super lethargic yesterday and definitely not himself when i came home from work- i took him to the emergency vet, no real answer so we let him rest hoping he wouls snap back this morning but he hasnt.. so we are on our way back this am… i hope you all can understand and be patient with me thank you..
