Did you know that sunlight affects your dog's circadian rhythm?

A healthy circadian rhythm is critical for good health. It controls patterns of brainwave activity, hormone production, cell regeneration and many other biological/biochemical activities over the day/night cycle.💙

Early morning light has no UV light – it has blue, green and red light. This pattern of light kick-starts your dog’s metabolism, wakes everything up and gets it moving for the day. The higher levels of blue light act to decrease melatonin levels.🙌

We're looking for someone to come to our house to babysit our one-year-old Siberian Husky, Oz (Ozzie). Ideally we would like someone to come in when I'm at work - from 1:30 pm - 11 pm daily from Tuesday to Saturday - for the rest of October 2021. Oz is lovely, He is very friendly and energetic, and is very good around people. But unfortunately if left alone he could unlock the window and escape (which he has done twice within one week). Babysitting him is relatively straightforward - Just a nice 30-minute walk twice a day and refilling his water bowl if running low. We're offering $70 / day but can be negotiable depending on your experiences with pets! DM me if interested - we can share more details and schedule a quick meet and greet. I live in Mount Pleasant Neighborhood! 20010
We'd like to give a huge thank you to all of the local businesses that have been helping care for both our staff and our animals. DC Dog Sitter has been helping walk the dogs in our care, and restaurants such as Kirwan's On The Wharf and Cakes by Gene have helped feed our staff as they work long hours. We truly appreciate the kindness you've extended our organization in the face of COVID-19. We wouldn't be able to continue doing this life-saving work without the support of our community.
