I love how with some dogs, you can tell what a gentle soul they are just by their eyes ❤️ Finn is one of those dogs! She has her puppy moments just like any puppy, but she is such a gentle soul.

Our sweet little Freddie is looking for the perfect guardian home! He is 9 weeks old and will be around 15lbs full grown. He is crate trained, sleeps the whole night in his crate without a peep, and is started on house training (which he’s doing remarkably well with!)

Being a guardian home for a male is a bit less commitment than a female. Freddie would live with you his entire life and be loved by you as your pet. Once he grows up and passes his health testing (which we pay for), we will just need to borrow him a few times a year for a few hours at a time for his “dates”. Eventually, he is retired, neutered, and continues to live with your family forever!

There is no adoption cost to be a guardian home, but there is a contract with some rules we ask you to follow. We also will pay for Freddie’s health insurance premium with Trupanion while he’s part of our program. You must be within 30 min of Montgomery County, MD and have no intact female dogs in your home.

Our guardian homes are such a fundamental part of our small program. We could keep every dog here with us, but then they wouldn’t get the individual attention that every dog deserves. We want our dogs to thrive, not just survive, and we couldn’t do that without our guardians!
