Our Story

The Doggie Washerette, LLC is a FULL SERVICE dog grooming facility. No cookie-cutter assembly line service here!!! We realize that each dog has individual needs and we strive to meet theirs and yours. We price by breed and special needs.

Ethel Taylor is the owner of Doggie Washerette which opened in Washington, DC August 2011. She is a Certified All Breed Dog Groomer (Virginia School of Dog Grooming, Manassas VA) and a Certified Grooming Aesthetician (IV San Bernard, Phoenix AZ), and a proud member of the National Dog Groomer’s Association of America. She is an expert in clipping and filing dog’s nails. She has successfully transitioned many dogs who previously needed sedation for nail clipping and filing to accept nail care, with her techniques, frequency (routine), patience, and time. Ethel is the pet parent of her rescued, now therapy dog, JOY the Poodle.
