During this month of March, we’ll be having another photo contest, so please submit your favorite photo of your pups. We’ll be sure to share them once more. We are looking for a bit of luck to brighten up everyone’s social media. We’ll announce the winner towards the end of the month and they will get another nifty box of toys and treats.
This month’s winner box will come from Howl to the Chief – our friendly neighborhood pet store. Hello Pack Parents,
Apologies in advance: We have had to make the difficult but necessary decision to cancel all daycare until January 3. Boarders, rest assured your pups will be well cared for, but we need to limit drop-off and pick-up hours to 9AM to 5PM.*
The rapid rise in local COVID cases has hit home: Several DogMa staff that have tested positive. Others need to stay home until they get negative test results. To ensure that we can maintain the staff-dog ratio we need to ensure all boarders are happy and safe, we are canceling daycare until January 3. (This when we know the folks out now will be able to be back in safely.) And we are limiting pick up and drop off hours for boarding to 9 AM - 5 PM Monday-Saturday with *Sunday remaining 12 PM-5 PM so the managers have more hours to help with hands on care.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience. And if the situation changes, we will send out a special email alert. We are committed to ensuring pups at Dog-Ma are safe and have a great time and that requires a lot of staff. And we need any staff that is positive or exposed until tested negative to stay home to help limit the spread and to recover. The goods news is that so far, the staff who have COVID are doing ok. But they still need to stay home!
Please give your doggo all of the snuggles for us - we will miss them. And if they are going stir crazy, call the office and if we have enough staff, of course we will make an exception for a day of daycare for you.
We are also lifting the late cancellation policy for holiday boarding for the remainder of the year in recognition of the scheduling $ }{ | + show that omicron is causing. So, if you need to cancel your trip due to COVID, please just email us to let us know and we’ll cancel or reschedule your reservation with no late cancel penalty.
Thank you for your understanding during this time – we look forward to having our pack back in full swing in 2022.

This past Saturday, several DC high school students attended our SIT, STAY, SUCCEED program, a six week class designed for students who are interested in how to use positive reinforcement to train their dogs. In addition to providing training aids, such as leashes, collars, dog treats, clickers, this program provides a unique opportunity to strengthen the human/animal bond and teach students how to be more empathetic learners.
