technically this counts as training because any good needs to be able to relax in a multitude of environments. so we first have to practice the behavior of chilling out around the home, before I can raise criteria to eventually prepare her for relaxing in an emergency room, or at a restaurant, or in a classroom, or office, etc.

Welcome Mr. Ranger to Inglenook Training Academy! This sweet and sassy aussie is a cousin of Remy's and from the same beloved breeder.
And it certainly shows. Look at that handsome face!
We had an amazing evaluation today and I'm so excited to help Ranger & his humans on their training journey!

Why do i sometimes train Γ‰owyn without Remy? How do I keep dogs from trying to steal (or resource guard) treats when I *do* work them around each other?

I train Γ‰owyn to be a service dog....
Remy teaches her the ways of charming chaos.

My ofrenda is small but holds much meaning.
Daisy & Peanut's collars [back middle & left] are for all the dogs who have passed due to old age & medical challenges.
Jade's collar [back right] is for all the dogs who have gone to rest for behavioral challenges... and of course, Snowball's collar [front] is for my personal best boy. My first dog. The guy who taught me so much, and who is responsible for kickstarting my animal behavior & training journey. I love you forever Bubbubs.
May all of our beloved animals rejoin us tonight. May they look in on us and be proud of the people we are.
Until we all are reunited again.

Whether its been a month or over a decade since I've worked with you and your animals, I remember you, I still love them, and I celebrate them - & their memory - with you today and every day.

Remy and I took some time off from bmod & service dog training to experience our first dog sport event.... and we left the Summer Mountain Cluster with a Rally Novice Title for Remy! Not too shabby for our first event ever.
Thank you to & his awesome human for encouraging us to come on out. I'm so incredibly proud of all Auggie & his human have accomplished. Nobody would know he is a former bmod client & ... who now is rocking his Rally Intermediate Title πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Maple is part of the team at MSU’s Pollinator Performance Center doing critical pollinator research and education. A retired police K-9, she uses her super sense of smell to detect bacteria in bee colonies to help prevent disease from spreading.

Currently, beekeepers must manually inspect colonies for disease, but dogs like Maple can identify disease much faster, which could make a big impact on the industry.

This project is one of many occurring at the Pollinator Performance Center. Operating since 2021, the center allows MSU to be at the forefront of honeybee and other pollinator research.
