Yesterday I was hired to do a set up for Michael Lange . He upgraded from a 37 gallon column to a beautiful 53 gallon Marineland tank. The silk plant aquascape turned out really cool, and his fish are very happy with all their new space to explore.

I noticed the seam on my 29 gallon tank was not sealed well on one side. To prevent the risk of the side of the tank sheering off, I tore down the tank and replaced it. It took 10 solid hours but here is the old and new aquascape

Today I made a micro paludarium. This features lavender growing out of the bowl and a mix of java moss, bucephilandra, and hygrophila pinnatifida growing submerged.

I started propagating a few aquarium plants a few weeks ago and just wanted to post an update. The java moss is slowly growing thicker. Bucephilandra grows incredibly slowly (and typically wants water movement) and looks about the same as when I set it up. I acquired a hygrophila pinnatifida culture and threw that in to the tray till I figure out what to do with it. The cryptocoryne and dwarf sag aren't doing much, but they're alive I suppose. And the lobelia cardinalis has been just thriving. It's gotten too big for my tray dome haha.

I had so much fun working on this tank. I had a blast chatting with the owners, they also had an adorable pair of Bassett hounds that I got to hang out with while I worked on the tank.

This 75 gallon aquarium had a serious green water algae problem. After 3 visits I have gotten this tank looking pristine!

Hired for a consultation today. After analyzing water parameters, we re-scaped the tank to create better hiding for fish that want to hide, as well as improved the aesthetics by creating more depth using an assortment of different sizes plants and decor.
