Spay & Neuter Clinic Closure — Tuesday, February 24
Due to the severe weather and hazardous travel conditions, the Potter League Spay & Neuter Clinic will remain closed tomorrow.
Appointments scheduled for this date will be rescheduled at our earliest convenience. Our team will contact affected clients directly as soon as possible.

After travel restrictions are lifted at noon, the Potter League will be available to provide temporary emergency shelter for pets for individuals who must leave their homes due to lack of heat, unsafe conditions, or relocation to warming centers, once our facility access has been fully cleared.
We will update this post as soon as plowing is complete and it is safe to receive animals.

Move over, Blizzard of ’78 — the Blizzard of ’26 has dogs doing the fastest potty breaks in history and has officially been rated “zero stars” by cats everywhere. In short, we got a lot of snow, and conditions across the region remain challenging.
Our Animal Care & Adoption Center remains closed tonight, with plans to reopen Tuesday, conditions permitting. Operations may be limited as crews continue working to clear roads and restore services throughout the area.
The Potter League Spay & Neuter Clinic will remain closed tomorrow (Tuesday, February 23) due to hazardous travel conditions and early drop-off times. Affected appointments will be rescheduled at our earliest convenience, and our team will contact clients directly as soon as possible.
State officials anticipate that residents without heat or safe shelter may need to travel to warming centers. If you must leave your home and cannot safely bring your pets with you, the Potter League may be able to provide temporary emergency shelter for them.

Pet Safety Tips During Extreme Winter Weather:
• Limit outside time as much as possible
• Keep pets away from snowbanks near roads and driveways
• Check paws for ice buildup, salt, or injury after time outside
• Never leave pets outside unattended
