I would like to thank Gilbert Ramirez, Four Paws in Motion, for being a man of his word. He and my daughter Michelle Mikesell , Pet Porter & Crew were fellow transporterers. As many of you know, she went home to be with Jesus last April. Gilbert kept in contact with her the entire year she was sick. He also kept in contact with me during that time and has continued to stay in contact with me.
Gilbert promised Michelle Mikesell that he would look after me and help me sell her Rufflands. Even though I plan to continue her legacy of Pet Porter & Crew via mostly private transport, the Rufflands were too heavy for me to navigate.
There were those that contacted Michelle before she passed and wanted to low ball her on price, but he encouraged her not to do that and she wasn't willing to do that either. Neither was I. She made me promise that I would get her firm asking price. Gilbert went above and beyond to make that happen. It took a little bit, but he stayed on it and I'm happy to say all her Rufflands have gone to fellow transporterers. To those that bought them, I hope you keep them full on your routes.
To Gilbert Ramirez, thank you for staying true to your word. Thank you for caring. Thank you for your steadfast determination and taking the time out of your busy schedule to make it happen. Thank you for your friendship, even though we have never met in person. We have to fix that! Someday I am coming to Texas to your wife's bakery.
For my fellow transporterers, be safe out there. Take care of one another. Be that person that is faithful to their word, not only to one another but to those people that are trusting you with their fur babies.
Again, thank you Gilbert from the bottom of my heart. I know Michelle would be pleased.
