Meet Flax! She is my third registered Alpine. She is talkative and a little shadow. She is two, was a first freshener and giving around 3/4 gallon daily. She should produce extraordinarily with her next two freshening.
I have been really blessed with my Alpine girls, they have such amazing personalities and are just beautiful.

Wren, our sweet little ray of sunshine. She sings, chatters and smiles her way through each day and warms my heart.
I love you, my little songbird. I can't believe my baby is 4 years old, and I treasure watching her grow.

How can such a simple thing as the color of an egg bring so much joy? The natural beauty of the colors amaze me, and I want all of those colors producing in my own backyard! Haha I know it is probably not a reality to have all the colors, but I am enjoying the shades of brown (some with a pinky hue), blue, green and white, speckles and blooms. I do now have an incubator, so I am excited to be able to hatch some of my own eggs, adding to the flock and bring in new breeds and colors with time. 😍

I probably need a second chicken coop and a duck house eventually......you know, chicken math. 😂

My Christmas wish....more baby bunnies!!! Just look at these little guys and tell me you don't want to scoop them up and snuggle them. That's what I though, you can't!

One of my does was due a couple days ago, and has been holding out on me! Maybe waiting for a Christmas litter? I am so eager to see what she has. Brandy (a chocolate) was bred to Hero, this will be his first litter, and I am so curious if he carries chocolate!

People often think that rabbits are too cute to eat and don't know how I can raise them and butcher them, too. Well, the cuteness is part of why!....is that confusing? Well, I love my rabbits. They're adorable, gorgeous animals with fun personalities. I enjoy them every single day. I want to snuggle and take care of them. If I didn't raise them for meat I wouldn't have baby bunnies around all the time, and to be honest, I probably wouldn't have rabbits at all. My animals serve a purpose. Our rabbits, chickens and ducks feed us meat and eggs, our dogs protect those animals, and our cats.....well, they're supposed to hunt mice and such. Some do. Some don't. 🤷‍♀️😂

It's a frigid morning, but on days like this I am so thankful for my reasons to get outside and do chores. If I didn't have animals that needed food, water, chickens to let out, etc, I probably wouldn't go out first thing. I'd miss out on so much morning beauty and fresh, crisp air. Getting out and taking care of my animals refreshes me. I, and my worries and burdens, feel small and insignificant. God knew what He was doing when he created it all, and that we need to be out in it daily to be reminded of His glory and love for us.

Marvel is growing so fast. Really enjoying this puppy stage. She is so smart, responsive and just a good girl.

It is a beautiful, chilly morning. I am always amazed at the beauty of this place in every season. I am thankful and blessed to call this my home.
