I’m going to share this simply to help educate about the risks of allowing your dog to become matted. Shaving is often the only way to safely remove deep mattes. When you comb your dog the comb should go all the way to the skin, often customers will say “I brush my dog daily what do mean they are matted”. Believe me we are not in the shaving the mattes business but if we feel it’s the safest way to remove mattes, we will shave for the comfort and safety of the pet. Please comb your dog regularly to avoid mattes and get on a routine grooming schedule with your groomer. Proper grooming is truly part of caring for a pet!
