We are in for a busy holiday weekend, but would like to take a second to introduce our new office manager.

Kayla comes from a extensive background in animal care and boarding facility operation experience. If she looks familiar to you, that's because she worked at this very building under the last owner, Dr. Means, for more than 10 years. She will be taking on many roles, so you will start seeing more of her around.
We are thrilled to have her overseeing the welfare of your precious pets while they stay and have their spa day at Alpine Boarding and Grooming.

Now hiring for Grooming Assistant!

We are looking to add to our animal loving team!

The Grooming Assistant is responsible for the following duties: cleaning and prep of groomer workstations, prepare animals for groomer by: brushing, bathing, blow drying, etc., assist groomer with nail trimming, provide a calming grooming experience for the animal by assisting in distracting and holding the animal while grooming, and various every day tasks of grooming operations.

Applicants need to be able to work in a fast paced environment with animals of varying behaviors and temperaments. Patience is key. Excellent customer service skills and an eye for detail will also come in handy. Must be an animal lover and able to physically hold and lift animals to and from the bathing areas and grooming tables.

Applicant must also be able to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends as needed. Must have your own transportation and be reliable. No shows are unacceptable.

No grooming experience needed. We are willing to train the right person.

We’re looking for an animal groomer to join our passionate team.

Animal groomers form a crucial part of our organization, building lasting relationships with customers and providing quality care to pets. If you’re an animal lover ready for the ins and outs grooming, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Objectives of this Role:
• Deliver outstanding customer service to pet owners by executing style requests, communicating clearly and honestly, and bringing a positive attitude to work each day.
• Provide exemplary cosmetic care for pets, being gentle and patient with anxious and difficult animals
• Protect the best interests of our customers and their pets, notifying owners of any concerns, including skin abnormalities, ear infections, ticks, and fleas
• Help our organization continue to grow by forming fruitful relationships with customers that result in repeat visits.

Responsibilities and Skills:
• Clean and freshen pet hair by brushing, washing and shampooing.
• Shave, trim, and style pet hair according to the owner’s preferences.
• Comfortable working with animals, including anxious ones.
• Ability to stand for at least two hours and lift heavy animals over 50 pounds.
• Willingness to learn new skills and techniques on the job.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated passion for animals
• Prior grooming experience
• Experience working with animals in a professional or volunteer capacity
• Professional certification (such as from the National Dog Groomers Association of America)

Responsible for the day-to-day care of in-house boarding pets. This includes feeding, watering, cleaning and walking. Must have sufficient physical strength, mobility, and stamina to lift and/or move heavy pets. It is essential that the applicant has the ability and willingness to learn and the desire to provide gentle, compassionate care for boarded pets. Working during weekends and holidays will be required.

If you have made a previous booking for Thanksgiving or if you would like to make a new reservation please shoot us an email at [email protected] and leave us the following details: first and last name, pet (breed, s*x, name), dates for boarding, your phone number, and the updated vaccination records of your pet(s). We will be rebooking the kennels as requests come in, please do not wait to confirm your pet's stay. Thank you!

Important Update! We will be closed on Sundays, effective beginning THIS SUNDAY, OCTOBER 3rd. There will be no drop offs or pick ups on Sundays until further notice. There will be no exception to this new policy. We are extremely busy and this change will allow our staff to focus on our current weekend guests. We appreciate your understanding!

In the interest of the health and well being of all our guests, effective July 1, 2021 all dogs for grooming and/or boarding must be current with Rabies, Distemper Combination and Bordatella.

In the past we allowed customers to waive Bordatella and Distemper as these were not required by the State of Missouri, but our new Kennel Vet has insisted all dogs receive all the above vaccinations from a certified DVM. We regret that we will no longer accept self-vaccinations.

Cats must be current with their Rabies and FVRCP boosters.
