ABOUT US
Rhonda.. I grew on a farm and have raised all kinds of animals so it was a logical choice to pursue a degree in animal science. After graduation with a B.S. in Animal Science from UCM, I worked for small animal doctors as a veterinary technician. Because of my compassion and love for dogs and cats, I was excited to accept the manager position of the newly opened city animal shelter. With over 20 years experience in the field, I decided to do what I really love to do, dedicate my time and passion to raising and training dogs on our 7 acres just outside of Warrensburg, MO.
We use the 1/2 acre pond to do basic water training and a large open field to training marking, casting and just letting them run around and play. We have 2 climate controlled outbuildings for when they aren’t in the house. One is a 10 X 16 we call the puppy palace with special accommodations for whelping and raising the pups. The doggie palace is 12 X 28 with 7 indoor/outdoor kennels connected to the outside which is covered and has concrete floors. Both buildings have several remote color cameras so we can watch them from our phones. We raise Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, Chesador Hybrids, and Labrador Retrievers.
Kurt.. I grew up in southwest Louisiana with a family tradition of duck and goose hunting. At a young age I enjoyed training our chesador named Buc. I still have the passion for training dogs and waterfowl hunting. I feel the Labrador and Chesapeake cross is the best of both worlds for companionship and hunting. Just like people, every dog responds to teaching in differant ways. Drive, attitude, passion, response, maturity and several other factors keep the training fun and challenging. I plan to train full time in the near future.
We love each of our fur babies and yes its tough to watch them go to their new families, we know how much joy our dogs have brought to many people.
