Keely was adopted today. Had to meet with the adopter outside of the shelter in Howland (her preference) so I did not get a picture. Very bittersweet, Mike and I are going to miss her. 😭

Hi, as you may know, my name is Bumbles, and I've been waiting here for what feels like furever.
I'm one of the shelter's longest residents, and honestly, nobody can figure out why. Every day I watch other cats pack up and leave with their new families while I stay behind, wondering when it will finally be my turn .
I'm a really sweet boy with a big heart. One of my favorite things to do is roll right onto my back and show off my belly, hoping someone will stop and give me a little attention. I love being loved. I love treats—especially Temptations—and I'll happily make friends with anyone willing to share a few with me.
Sometimes I get a little overstimulated, which means I spend a lot of my time in a crate, but that's not because I'm a bad cat. I just need someone who understands me and can give me the space and patience I need when I get excited.
I'm cat-selective, so I don't love every cat I meet, but I have so much love to give to my people. The shelter volunteers know what a good boy I am, and they tell me all the time that my family is out there somewhere. I try to believe them, but some days it's hard when you've been waiting so long . 😿
What I dream about most isn't anything fancy. I dream about a soft bed, a sunny window, treats in a cupboard that belong to me, and a person who is happy to see me every day. I dream about finally having a home where I don't have to watch everyone else leave without me. 💭
I've been patient. I've been waiting. Now I just need someone to give me a chance. Maybe the reason I've been here so long isn't because there's something wrong with me—maybe it's because the right person just hasn't found me yet. Could that person be you ? 🐱
