Most people accidentally make “sit” harder than it needs to be.
You say “sit” once… then immediately go into:
“Sit. Sit. Sit. C’mon sit. SIT.”
At that point, your dog is basically thinking, “Is that even a real word anymore?”

Try this instead:
Say it once.
Pause.

Give them a second to figure it out.

If they don’t get it, help them into position, then reward the moment they do it right.

Dogs aren’t trying to ignore you, they’re just not great at guessing what we mean when we turn one word into a whole soundtrack.

Clear = calm = better results.
