Hello Facebook! I am once again taking on bow rehairs and repairs, by appointment. I am also adding additional instrument repair services, on a small scale to start. Please call, email or fb message me for an appointment or questions on repair work and pricing.

While I am located in Warren PA, I am a founding member of The Chadokoin Chamber Ensemble in Jamestown NY and in that area often . There is the possibility I could meet there by appointment if need be for clients and schools.

After struggling since March of this year, I am sadly closing my shop down today, for good. It was a wonderful 7 years of being a self-employed luthier, however the world has changed in such a manner that I can no longer stay afloat. Any school work in my possession will be completed, and then that is all she wrote. Thank you all for a great run, and now on to another chapter.

Now would be a great time to get those extra maintenance repairs done on your bow! It's important to keep them in good working order to prevent further damage. The bow pictured below came in for a rehair but was missing the slide on the frog. To repair this there are several options, including the pearl on ebony this player chose, or you might prefer rippled abalone on ebony with vibrant colors! Each slide blank, like the one pictured below, begins almost twice the width of the finished product and too long in length. I take the time to slowly shape the slides by hand to fit your specific frog, as each is different. (See comment below photos). Contact me for an appointment!

Hello string players! My shop has undergone some changes, as the world around us has changed. I am looking for some feedback, especially from musician friends, students/parents, and teachers in the Warren, Erie, and Jamestown areas!

I am considering expanding my services in the fall to include instrument repair and maintenance, in addition to bow services such as:
-installing new strings
- sound post setting
- cutting new bridges
- fitting new pegs
- installing new hardware (chin rests, tail pieces)
- repairing body cracks
- gluing open seams

I have experience with all of these repairs and am interested to see if there is a need. I would love your feedback!

My shop is ready to reopen to private customer work. I will not be doing school repairs for a while yet, but will keep everyone posted.

Anyone needing a rehair or some repair work please call or message me for a drop off time. I can offer no-contact drop off and pick up, and will use safe practices while working on your bows.

Happy Fall String Players!! Now is the perfect time to replace the stretched out hair on your bows from the summer heat!! How are you going to play all that luscious legato in Danse Macabre in October? All that springy spiccato in the pit for Nutcracker rehearsals? If your bow won't tighten enough and the dry air from the heaters keeps making all the hair break and the tip plugs pop then it's time to bring it in.
