Meet Maisy 🐾 - Dr. Todaro's dog with torn cruciate ligaments in both knees!

Dr. Sweeton & Dr. Todaro repaired her left cruciate rupture with the MMP (Modified Maquet Procedure) last Thursday. We will revisit her right knee after full recovery from the left knee surgery.

These videos of her walking and rising were taken before surgery and 5 days after surgery. See below for the STUNNING results!

Call us if you see signs your dog may need this surgery:
✅ Sudden limping on back leg
✅ Won't put weight on the leg at all
✅ Sits with one back leg sticking out to the side
✅ Swollen, thick feel around the knee
✅ Reluctant to jump, run, play
✅ Leg seems to "give out" while walking

Recovery:
🌟 Most dogs start feeling better within days, but full healing takes 8-12 weeks. With surgery most dogs return to normal, happy lives. Early treatment means better results!

The invasive Asian longhorned tick has been officially confirmed in Michigan for the first time! These tiny ticks (smaller than a sesame seed) pose risks to both pets and livestock.

NexGard is already FDA-approved and labeled to treat and control Asian longhorned tick infestations! We recommend yearround monthly flea and tick preventive with Nexgard because flea and tick infestations can both happen in the wintertime, too.
