3 Myths About Poodles
Myth #1: Poodles are pretty but dumb
I agree that this is a misconception because, with the right training, all dogs are intelligent.
Myth #2: Their puffy cuts are just for show
When poodles were being used to retrieve birds in Germany in the past, the dense coat on their hindquarters was being removed to make it much easier for them to tread water without being weighed down.
Myth #3: Poodles are spoiled and lazy
Even though we frequently see poodles competing in dog shows, this does not imply that they are bratty and lazy. Actually, poodles had previously competed in Alaska's famed Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, finishing 38th out of 52 teams that included northern breeds such as Siberian huskies and Alaskan malamutes.
Now that we’ve busted some of the most common myths about poodles, hopefully, we all have a better understanding of this hardworking, versatile, and intelligent breed.
Whatever others have thought—myths or facts—the most important thing is our relationship with our furry babies.
