These are pictures of a farmer with the nastiest head cold she's had in a long time, a goat taking her sweet time eating grain on the stanchion, and a horse that broke into the barn, gorged herself on grain, and is now on 24-hour colic watch.

We have entered the "ber" months, but Mother Nature, she's not quite ready for cooler temps. With that, Crops and Crafts is holding out until it cools down a bit.

Until then, please reach out if you need eggs or goat milk!

Hello Friends 👋🏻

We sure hope you’ve managed to stay cool over these last several weeks of HOT 🥵 weather.
Crops & Crafts is going to hold off on starting back up until we see the high temperatures come down. Please stay tuned and we will keep you posted of our Fall dates.

Good morning and happy Monday.
I hope your week starts better than this guy's. He will be wearing the stick of shame until he realizes the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence.

Happy Monday, everyone! It's a lovely rainy morning here, and as I work indoors, I get some extra time with these adorable kittens. They're growing quickly, and their personalities are beginning to show.

Happy Sunday. Take a moment to pause and reflect on your blessings. Last night brought more rain, turning the grass a vibrant green, such a beautiful sight to wake up to this morning.

Today was a big one for me. ❤️🐴

I stepped way outside of my comfort zone and competed in my first horse show, showing in Senior Showmanship and Senior Trail with Bella.

I’m not going to lie… walking into that arena was SO nerve-racking! There’s something incredibly humbling about being in your 40s and being a beginner again, learning something completely new, putting yourself out there, and being okay with not knowing what you’re doing yet. 😂

But you know what? I’m proud of myself for doing it anyway.

It was also such a nice change of pace to step away from the farm for a day and do something just for the love of learning and spending time with my horse. Bella and I have a LOT to learn, but that’s part of the fun.

Today wasn’t about winning. It was about showing up, trying something new, learning from the experience, and having the courage to step outside my comfort zone.

And I’m already looking forward to doing it again.

Here’s to being a beginner, even at 40-something, and enjoying every minute of the journey!

These two must think it's the weekend already! What they don't know is that it's only Friday, and we have a whole day of work ahead of us.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Our first death due to the heat has occurred. Despite using fans, providing ice blocks, and changing the water several times a day, this little one couldn't survive. Animal husbandry can be very difficult at times. However, I learn from these experiences, make adjustments, and strive to do better for these animals.

Thankful for every drop of rain we got today!! Did you get rain in your area?
