PROTECT THOSE PAWS!
A reminder to pet owners to walk their dogs on grassy surfaces during this intense heat. Asphalt and concrete can reach paw-burning levels. If it's too hot for your bare feet, it's too hot for their paws! **Please Share**

5-19-25 -- Run free, dear Max 🌈♥️🌈
Max passed unexpectedly possibly from a splenic tumor. He had quite a few health issues and was on a lot of meds and special food. It was very quick and I am grateful that I was right there with him as he passed.
Max had many dog friends here and he really had a good time at the Sanctuary. He liked me well enough, but his heart was always with Beth, his previous owner. That didn't offend me. He loved her for all of his 11 yrs of life and he will wait patiently for her to join him at the Bridge some day. He has company up there to pal around with in the meantime.
Run free big guy! You made me laugh and shake my head with your antics especially stealing food off the table. It was my honor to serve you. I am attaching Beth's post. Her tribute to him was beautiful and her pictures are spectacular. Please enjoy seeing handsome Max through her eyes.

From Beth's Post........Got word yesterday that Max has passed away. Spending some time looking through photos/videos and remembering all the good times. Max was my soul dog for sure. He experienced more in his first 10 years than most dogs get to experience- we were always together. He went to many different drs visits with me and was loved along the way, mastering how to ride an elevator in the process. He loved my Dad dearly also, and the trips to Knoebels to ride the train and get ice cream. The last few years he was super excited to go visit his grandma as he didn’t get to see her on a regular basis. Max was a super social guy and if you saw us, you probably had to say “hi” to Max first.
Last July I had to make the decision to put Max in Mureille's Place - A Senior Dog Sanctuary, due to financial distress with Max’s growing medical needs I simply could not keep up with anymore on my own & also my health and allowing me to seek medical treatment and not having care for Max. It was the hardest and most heartbreaking decision I ever had to make. Barbara Nullet Yackel, worked with me this past 11 months to help keep a difficult decision feel as good as it could possibly feel. I do not know what I would do if I was unable to have this option for Max.
Max my best buddy, I will love you forever- Maxwell “Aloysius” Stack, 5.15.14-5.19.25 ❤️
