Ever wonder how the South Shore team trains for emergencies?

On Monday, our team closed the hospital early for hands-on CPR and emergency response training with a RECOVER-certified CPR instructor. We practiced chest compressions, coordinated full CPR drills, and even administered emergency drugs using Audrey II, a canine CPR simulator that mimics real-life emergency scenarios.

Training like this helps us stay calm, confident, and ready for when you and your pet need us the most 🐾❤

This little European Starling found her way to us recently thanks to a kindhearted good Samaritan 💙 You may have noticed the large flocks of these iridescent birds around the neighborhood lately as they often travel in groups this time of year for safety and foraging.

While we don’t typically treat birds, we were happy to offer her a quiet place to rest and recover. After a short stay and a bit of TLC, she was ready to continue her journey.

She takes her role as Official Treat Inspector very seriously and we’re happy to report she gave the cookies her full approval🎄 Teeter says they’re “paws-itively perfect,” and we trust her judgment.
